HPMA Style Spotters are out with fresh trend and product Style Stories

The High Point Market Authority’s Style Spotters team is out with a new Style Report from the spring market. See what made the team’s list of favorite products and trends.

Through 20 Style Stories, the home fashion leaders can give you fresh inspiration for your business. The stories are presented in three categories. “Behind the Scenes” tells the story behind a product or brand, giving the reader a deeper understanding and appreciation of how a piece is made, the culture it came from, the artisans who create it or the science behind it. “On the Scene” delves into a style, product category, colors, textures or other themes. “Must Be Seen” is a celebration of a favorite product, collection or brand and explanation of why it’s a must-see.

Highlighting the artistry, creativity and craftmanship involved in product development, the 43-page Volume 1, Issue 2 covers an array of timely product insights. From “Globally Inspired Furniture” to “A Fusion of Sustainability and Artistry” to “The Evolution of Bouclé,” the report features dozens of exhibitors and products seen at High Point Market. All 20 stories can be seen and downloaded at hpmkt.highpointmarket.org/stylespotters.

“The 2022 Style Spotters are particularly interesting as they are anything but predictable. Their furniture, lighting, art and accessories selections ranged from tried-and-true traditional to midcentury, post-modern, art deco, or unique artisan-made and vintage,” said Style Spotters advisers Gary Inman and Shay Geyer in the report’s introduction. “The diversity of their vision and curation underscores the vast array of design options one can find at High Point Market.”

Style Spotters who contributed to the Style Report include Kelly Collier-Clark of Plot Twist Design, Kelly Finley of Joy Street Design, Jacob Laws of Jacob Laws Interior Design, Jennifer Mabley of Mabley Handler Interior Design, Rachel Mautner of Rachel Mautner Interior Design, Kurt Jacob Miller of Jacob Lukas Design, Monika Nessbach of Designbar LLC, Lucy Penfield of Lucy Interior Design, Jana Platina Phipps of Home Couture Collective and DuVäl Reynolds of DuVäl Design LLC.

Additional product insights from the April market can be found in individual galleries each Style Spotter created based on their top product selections. For those, visit www.highpointmarket.org/products-and-trends/style-spotters-gallery-hub.

The award-winning Style Spotters program, sponsored by Crypton Home Fabric and Studio Designer, features 10 home fashion pace setters that showcase their favorite products and top trends from High Point Market exhibitors via image galleries, product previews, Style Spotters LIVE! events, two post-market Style Reports and media interviews. Mentored by Shay Geyer and Gary Inman, program alumni and advisers, each Style Spotter serves for two markets over a calendar year.
