Lawrie has more than 16 years of experience in product development, licensing, sales and corporate marketing in a number of sectors. Prior to joining Bode & Well, Lawrie was vice president of licensing and corporate marketing for Springs Creative, managing multi-million-dollar budgets with a number of licensing partners.

Experienced in design, development, sourcing and procurement, Lawrie began her career in the gift and home industry where she led several home textile and decorative accessory brands, both licensed and proprietary, according to a news release. Lawrie developed thousands of on-trend SKUS over the years for wholesale catalog distribution and working with major outdoor retailers, such as Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, the release said.

“Kathryn’s extensive licensing and product development experience will undoubtedly take the newly formed Bode & Well brand to the next level,” said Angela Harris, Trio principal and chief executive officer. Partnering with the U.S. manufacturers, Bode & Well products will first launch in traditional wholesale markets to retailers, trade and commercial accounts.

“Seeing products come to life from the ideation stage through a full product life cycle from design to manufacturing, every decision can impact the consumer journey,” Lawrie said. Her work is informed by a love of the arts, the outdoors and global travel and she has a lifelong passion for ceramics, woodworking and textiles, according to the news release.

“There is something about working with clay and natural fibers that reminds me how strong we may be as individuals, but also how fragile we are in our communities. We truly need each other to thrive, “ Lawrie said.

Bode & Well by Angela Harris was developed in 2021 as an integral arm of Trio, the company said. Its product designs are “are authentic, elegant, soulful and, best of all, attainable,” according to the company, in keeping with Harris’ belief that “everyone deserves great design, and everyone can live beautifully.”

Founded in 1999, Trio is a design and visual merchandising firm that collaborates with builders and developers across the country on all aspects of planned communities, model homes, clubhouses, sales centers, commercial and hospitality projects and multifamily apartments. It offers a comprehensive studio for everything related to interior design and merchandising.
