Outdura highlighting award-winning Virage line at Interwoven

Sattler Outdura will showcase its Virage line of 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabrics at Interwoven in High Point Nov. 13-16 (Market Square Tower 505). Virage, punctuated by four distinct fabric statements — Be Bold, Escape, Digital and Tranquil — includes 176 jacquards, textured dobbies and stripe selections designed for use outdoors or indoors.

This Sherwood jacquard, hand drawn by Mariia Elizarova, won a design excellence award last summer.

At the Casual Market in Chicago last summer, the International Casual Furnishings Association presented Outdura with the Design Excellence Award for Fabric for the Sherwood jacquard fabric from the Virage Escape collection. Sherwood was elaborately hand drawn by Mariia Elizarova, Outdura’s senior designer for the casual furniture division. According to Elizarova, her vision for this fabric was to “allow enough space in the flowing botanical design to remind us of the importance of peace and calm in our lives.”

“We are so honored to have won the Design Excellence Award for Sherwood,” Elizarova said. “My goal in designing the Virage collection was to give our retailers, designers and their customers a ‘positive attitude’ collection that communicates creativity, courage, success and the individuality that we are all searching for.”

These pillows are dressed in fabrics from the Escape group of neutrals and subtler shades found in nature.

More details about the key collections in the Virage line:

  • Be Bold plays with the contrasts of confident, daring patterns and textures.
  • Escape celebrates the neutrals and subtler shades and surfaces found in nature.
  • Digital features vibrant and optimistic shapes and colors.
  • Tranquil, as its name implies, offers calm, refreshing hues inspired by global waters.

All four fabric groups are available in a wide array of base cloths and accent fabrics, providing designers, retailers and consumers diverse and well-coordinated color palettes and fabric groupings. They also allow the opportunity to combine selections to present a unique personalized style statement, according to a news release.

Sattler Outdura has headquarters in Hudson, New York, where it weaves its solution-dyed acrylic fabrics using imported yarns. It is part of The Sattler Group fabric company, based in Graz, Austria.
