About Rick Harrison, Founding Publisher, Home News Now

With nearly 25 years of experience in media, much of which has focused on the home category, Harrison brings a unique skill set and range of capabilities to any product.  With stints as publisher and in sales and product management at Furniture Today, Interiors Magazine, Kids Today and Casual Living, as well as founding publisher of InFurniture for Conde Nast, Harrison has a history of successfully developing products that are embraced by the home furnishings industry.  Harrison is owner of HCG Media, a full service provider of rich media ad technology, media buying, in-store digital display, brand management and premium content.

Harrison holds a BA from the University of North Carolina, as well as an MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.  He lives next to a trout stream with his wife and four children and is a very average Little League baseball and Pop Warner football coach.

About Julie A. Palm, Executive Editor, Decor News Now

Julie A. Palm began her career as a reporter and editor for daily newspapers in Texas. She started covering home furnishings as an editor for Home Accents Today and for more than a decade was editor-in-chief of BedTimes and also its sister publication, Sleep Savvy, covering the sleep products industry for manufacturers, retailers and suppliers. In 2013, she launched Palm Ink, working with a variety of clients both inside and outside the home furnishings industry. Over the course of her career, Palm has earned a reputation as skilled editor, engaging writer and adept publications manager. Returning to the fashion and trend-driven side of the furniture business as editor-in-chief of Decor News Now is a dream job.

Palm has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas Christian University and a master’s in liberal art studies from Wake Forest University. She works mainly to support the lavish lifestyles of her pets and gets some of her best writing done while walking the dog.
