AICO promotes David Koehler to president

Amini Innovation Corp. has promoted David Koehler to president, succeeding Martin Ploy, who recently retired from the luxury home furnishings producer.

David Koehler

Koehler has 28 years of experience in the home furnishings industry and has been with AICO for the past 12 years, serving as vice president of sales and, most recently, as executive vice president. Prior to joining AICO, Koehler was senior vice president of sales for Theodore Alexander. He was also a sales professional for Maitland-Smith and began his career in sales for Sherrill Furniture.

“David is an action-oriented leader who has demonstrated a high level of integrity and performance over many years. He energizes teams and inspires people to go the extra mile,” said Michael Amini, chair, CEO and founder of the company, which has headquarters in Pico Rivera, California. “As our new president, David’s sharp focus, strategic thinking, commitment to preparation and uncompromising work ethic will serve our company and valued customers well as we pursue our aggressive growth strategy,” Amini said in a news release.

“I am humbled, honored and extremely energized to serve such an exceptional organization as AICO in this new role,” Koehler said. “In my 12 years at AICO, I have watched and learned from great leaders, such as Martin Ploy, Chuck Reilly and, of course, Michael Amini himself. We have an amazing collection of committed and talented people that take great pride in what they do —  we call it ‘AICO pride.’ It is a testament to Michael’s leadership, extraordinary work ethic and innovative vision. I look forward to leading our dedicated team and executing our overarching strategy of helping our customers be successful. I’m looking forward to serving AICO for many, many years to come.”
