The ART Conference Committee 2023 announced today that the beneficiary of the annual community service project will be Veterans Village of San Diego – Welcome Home Project.  Veterans Village will be ART’s eighth service project in the conference host city.  ART Conference 2023 will be held at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego May 18-21.

Veterans Village of San Diego’s Welcome Home Family Program provides homeless veteran families with safe transitional housing and the training and support necessary to attain goals leading to independence. The complex consists of two apartment buildings with four  two-bedroom units in each building. The services provided to the families include employment and training, VA Healthcare information, case management, life skills, positive parenting training, budgeting, recovery planning and therapy. 

Conference volunteers will work on this complex to enhance the existing apartments and outside common areas.  Home industry companies will be asked to donate furnishings for installation to enhance the apartments and to replace damaged goods.
