Calling Interior Designers, ASID Extends National Awards Submission!

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has extended their submissions for its coveted 2023 National Awards. The annual awards program known for recognizing practitioners who demonstrate interior design’s impact on the human experience has extended their application window to May 15th, 2023

The organization is excited to share that they have added a new category of awards centered around interior design projects and new categories of awards for firm sizes to increase inclusivity and accessibility. They are split into three sections: the new FOCUS Project and Annual Awards category and the returning Legacy Award.


Take advantage of this added bonus time, and submit to the ASID National Awards today! Below find additional details on the newly added FOCUS Project Awards that spotlight outstanding design projects addressing four areas of global impact: wellness, diversity, community, and climate.
FOCUS Project Awards: The category recognizes projects completed between January 1, 2021 and March 1, 2023 from both ASID members and nonmembers and will be judged and awarded relative to firm size – small (1-10 employees), medium (11-50 employees), and large (51+ employees).

Wellness FOCUS | Recognizing outstanding architectural and design projects that respond to the challenges facing our world in the built environment around health and wellness.

Diversity FOCUS| Recognizing outstanding architectural and design projects that provide a framework and a call to action to advance design that addresses challenges facing our world around diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Community FOCUS | Recognizing outstanding architectural and design projects that provide a framework and a call to action to advance design towards a regenerative built environment that addresses challenges facing our world around community cohesion and resilience.

Climate FOCUS| Recognizing outstanding architectural and design projects that provide a framework and a call to action to advance design towards a regenerative built environment that addresses challenges facing our world around climate and sustainability.Recipients will benefit from visibility for their achievements as ASID shares the stories of each award winner and their contributions to the profession through our national social media, email, and website recognition. All National Award winners will also be celebrated at GATHER, the National Conference by ASID in Los Angeles, August 13 – 15.
