Connate Home, a Los Angeles-based source for handcrafted luxury furniture, is launching a to-the-trade program.
“As members of the design industry, we feel it is important to provide the best possible pricing to our interior design and architect colleagues,” co-founder Jeremey Graef tells Decor News Now. “Creating strong relationships with industry professionals will not only help our business grow, but will provide sustainable and heirloom-quality pieces to their clients’ homes, giving them pieces that will last generations.”
Membership in its Connate House program is free and includes a 20% discount on all products.
The company, which has a design studio in West Hollywood, specializes in a sophisticated California aesthetic with clean lines that honors indoor/outdoor lifestyles. The line includes sofas, benches and other seating; dining, console, side and coffee tables; and beds, dressers and bookcases, featuring sustainable and organic materials. Most pieces are available in several wood finishes, as well as fabric and leather options.
Connate Home’s line is attractive to designers and architects because it “is 100% designed and fabricated by Los Angeles artisans, which gives a unique vision to our bespoke furniture line. All pieces are made to order and crafted by hand,” Graef says. “And by designing, fabricating and overseeing our designs within a 20-mile radius, we are greatly reducing our carbon footprint for all Connate products, which provides a more sustainable practice for furniture manufacturing.”
The line is currently available only online but the company plans pop-up showrooms in 2023 and a brick-and-mortar location in 2024.
Graef and Matthew Noll founded the company in 2019, with a goal of mixing the best of design, architecture, fashion and manufacturing. Graef is an interior designer who previously worked with LA-based design firm Magni Kalman; Noll has a background in fashion, including a role in sustainable product sourcing and manufacturing for Patagonia.
“The (founders) often speak to the concepts of slow living, sustainable design, luxury indoor-outdoor space, and the harmony of elevated design and curated art,” the company’s website says. Through the 1% for the Planet, Connate gives 1% of all sales to environmental groups.
