Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 20, for the International Society of Furniture Designers Innovation + Design 2023 Meet the Designers market reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards, 400 W. English Road in High Point. This event, with complimentary food and drinks, will recognize the winners of the designer/maker juried Innovation + Design Awards. The exhibit and event are free to everyone attending the High Point Market.
The Innovation + Design competition and exhibition is a juried, furniture industry-sponsored event intended for professional designer/makers and the next generation of serious woodworking students who are anticipating a career in the custom wood and related home furnishings industries. Professional and student finalists will receive a certificate of merit and will be entered into the designer/maker category of ISFD’s 2023 Pinnacle Awards.
Innovation + Design category winners will receive $250. Best of show winners will receive $1,000, along with five hours of Congdon Yards Generator time. The Innovation + Design exhibit will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, April 21, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 22-25.
