Vegas sneak peek: Furniture you can bet on

Warm woods, natural materials (or constructions that mimic natural materials) and welcoming curves are hallmarks of pieces that furniture producers will spotlight during the Las Vegas Market Jan. 29-Feb. 2 at the World Market Center.

This is just a sneak peek of what marketgoers will see at the show. Decor News Now will have more product previews in our Jan. 25 newsletter. Don’t miss it!

The large Grand Canyon coffee table in slate gray is made of a composite that has been molded to look like a piece of aged stone that nature created over eons. It’s part of the Phillips Collection’s Cast Naturals collection and can be used indoors or outdoors. (World Market Center, Building A, 202)

Four Hands is launching a line of upholstery and slipcovered seating made with Oeko-Tex-certified Belgian linen sourced from Libeco. Belgian-made linen, the company notes, is soft to the touch, naturally durable and less prone to wrinkling. The Bridges swivel chair is just one of the new pieces in the line. It has a sloping traditional roll arm with a loose feather-blend seat and back above a simple parawood foot. (A-140)

Inspired by its Nest daybed, Union Home’s Nest bed offers an exotic retreat for rest and relaxation. A solid recycled teak frame supports and surrounds the bed, with handwoven, inset cane panels. Each side of the bed features two integrated shelves that do double duty as nightstands. (C-524A; also available through JuniperMarket)

By combining an eclectic mix of materials, this three-door drawer chest takes a midcentury modern design and makes it current. Constructed of oak veneers and hardwood solids, it is finished in a dark oak that sets off the lighter tin metal drawer fronts. Completing the look is campaign-style hardware in a dark iron and tapered legs set at an angle. The chest is available from Accentrics Home, part of the Hooker Furnishings group. (A-236)

The Lyle console table from Arteriors will command any entryway. A cerused sable stain enhances the oak grain, highlighting the attention paid to the piece. It’s anchored by brass-clad sabots with decorative pitting. Finish will vary. (C-379)

From the high back all the way down to the gracefully curved base and legs, the Paulo chair from The Howard Elliott Collection will anchor a seating area with style. The deep ebony frame is complimented by a charcoal gray leather upholstery. (A-224)

This retro midcentury modern nightstand from Danya B. is dressed in white lacquer with gold brass accents and a single drawer. The bold, curved stand makes a statement in the bedroom or in a living area as a side table. (C-177)

Add comfortable and stylish seating to a living space with this distinctive Grayson accent chair from Vertuu Design. Upholstered in a boucle fabric, the modern chair boasts a tufted curved back and black tapered legs. (B-365)

Warm, rustic hickory veneer on the interior and shelves of the Tahoe etagere contrasts with the white finish on the exterior to evoke the natural beauty of wide-open spaces and the blankets of snow in in America’s Western landscapes. Part of Hooker Furniture’s Big Sky collection, it has four fixed shelves. (A-236)

Armen Living Furniture’s four-piece Koda patio set is framed in black aluminum with a slate gray fabric on the cushions. (B-759)
