The heat of summer gets cooled by dips in the ocean and the relief of a moody, late afternoon thunderstorm. Welcome rains turn fields verdant. Gray weathered wood washes up on beaches. And kids head out into the inky black night to chase fireflies.
Decor News Now was intrigued by the dazzling golds and rosy hues of home furnishings and accessories marketgoers will see at the Atlanta Market July 12-18. But there are cool-toned vibes, too, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t offer a glimpse of some of those standouts. (Some of these exhibitors also show through the online JuniperMarket.)

The round Keena wall mirror from Bassett Mirror Co. in Bassett, Virginia, is inlaid with natural ivory, blue and gray bone and is clad in brass accents. Made in India, the handcrafted details produced by a skilled artist will vary slightly. (B1 11-F9 & 11-F11)
Atlanta-based Currey & Company says its Koji nightstand has “a serene presence with curved sides and feet that emulate calligraphy shapes found in Asian characters.” The drawers and inset top are covered in cream-colored faux shagreen. Beechwood accents contrast with the oyster gray finish. Square-edged brass pulls have a brushed brass finish. (Atlanta Market, AmericasMart, B1 1-L3)
“Palm Vista,” with its billowing palms swaying in a tropical paradise, is an exclusive giclee on canvas. From the J. Banks Collection, it is produced by Paragon in Albertville, Alabama. It is mounted in a silver floater frame without glass. (B1 12-A8)
Part of its Collected Notions group, this planter is from Memphis, Tennessee-based Creative Co-Op, which calls it “one of our favorite new planters this season.” It is handmade in deep neutral grays and browns with a dynamic stripe of chartreuse. It holds a 10” pot and is large enough to hold magazines or other items, too. (B2 10-1080, 10-1081B & 10-1087B)
This triptych, titled “The Fall Guy” and measuring 47” by 62,” is from Soicher Marin in Bradenton, Florida. (B1 14-E10)
The chrysanthemum leaf covering this vase is created by first spraying it with pigment, then applying a glaze to the celadon before firing. The whole surface is then sandblasted to articulate the shape of each white flower. The 15” porcelain vase is made in Arita, Japan, and available through Koransha, with U.S. offices in New York. Like its name suggests, Luxe B Pampas Grass in Leduc, Alberta, offers an array of the luxurious plumes. The super fluffy Type 6 has natural blond coloring and makes a statement in a tabletop or floor vase. Three stems of Type 6 retail for $84. (B1 828)
Alaska’s natural beauty inspired the Wildflowers I pillow from Truett Designs. Based on an original watercolor. The pillow, with a cotton linen cover, is handmade in England and comes in two sizes (20” x 20” and 24” x 24”). The large pillow retails for $280. (B2 1-823)
The rustic, distressed Tressa sideboard is part of an eclectic La Bohème group from Park Hill Collection, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The group also includes the Carole upholstered accent chair and Adele pierced metal lamp. The Classic Floral prints are from Park Hill Collection, too. (B2 10-1001 & 10-1011)
Abigail’s free-form textured black ceramic bowl is part of its Atelier line. It is available in two sizes, with the larger bowl (19.75” x 13” x 4.5”) retailing for $310. The Alexandria, Louisiana-based company also offers the bowl in white. (B1 15-A8)
